What this was
The winery wanted current pictures of the property for its website, its event listings and the vendors it works with. One morning on site, the architecture and the grounds, no guests.
What I photographed
- The spiral stair from three heights, and its ironwork up close.
- The entry hall and gallery, wide and empty.
- The fountain court and the statue at arrival.
- The glass pavilion, outside and in, with the chandelier.
- The vineyard rows, the barrels and the old truck.
What it's for
The venue's own site and listings, the planners who tour it, and the vendors who work it. For me: the proof that an empty room can be photographed to feel like an event is about to start.
