Planning an event in Gainesville and Haymarket?
Gainesville and Haymarket sit in western Prince William County along I-66 and Route 29, where suburbs meet rolling countryside at the edge of Virginia’s hunt country. Golf clubs, wineries and breweries carry most of the event business here.
Which venues should you look at?
The Winery at La Grange
A winery on Antioch Road built around a three-story red brick manor house on land once part of Robert King Carter’s Bull Run Tract. Benoni Harrison owned the estate from 1827 to 1869, and a boxwood archway leads from the manor to the winery building. It offers private and corporate events.
For photos: brick manor, stone cellar and boxwood paths; strong for groups and candids.
Piedmont Club
A private golf club with a Tom Fazio-designed championship course set in rolling countryside in the area’s historic hunt country. Its events team hosts corporate gatherings, meetings and golf outings.
For photos: wide country views and a clubhouse setting; golf outings add action frames.
Stonewall Golf Club
A public golf club that opened in 2001 on the shores of Lake Manassas, with a Tom Jackson-designed course. The Magnolia and Azalea Rooms host meetings and private events, and The Terrace looks over the water.
For photos: lake views from the terrace make easy group frames; best at golden hour.
How do you plan the photos?
Picked the room? Next comes the plan. What event photography costs has the rates, and the event shot list helps you decide what matters most. For an association, see annual meeting photography; for a company, corporate event photography. Evening events have their own page for gala photography.
