Hill Day photos your members will use

Why photograph Hill Day?

For a lot of your members, this is the day. They’ve come in from all over the country to sit across from their own representatives.

That’s worth keeping for the record. It’s also some of the best marketing you’ll ever have.

What are the photos really for?

Every Hill Day is pushing for something. The meetings are one part of it. The photos keep pushing after everyone’s flown home.

A member standing in front of the Capitol, a room full of people in the same color shirt, someone mid-pitch in a hallway. Months later those pictures are what makes the next person want to join in.

What makes them usable?

Can you follow us to meetings?

Plan that with me ahead of the day. Every office is different, and it’s better to know who’s going where before we start than to figure it out in a hallway.

How fast can we post?

Same-day highlights if you ask for them, so your members can share while they’re still in town. The full gallery usually comes back in one to two weeks.

I’ve photographed a lot of Capitol Hill days at DC summits, and I’m based just outside the city in Northern Virginia. More is on Conferences, and the event photography shot list helps with the planning. Before you book anyone, the questions to ask are worth a read.
