Event photographer, Washington, DC
Washington, DC
I've photographed a lot of Capitol Hill days at DC summits, and plenty of other events across the District.

Events
DC runs on associations, policy groups and the companies around them. That means receptions, briefings, awards dinners and company events, in hotel ballrooms, embassies and member buildings. For a multi-day program, see conferences; for the evening, galas.
Hill days
A Hill day moves fast. Small groups walk between office buildings, meetings start late and end early, and the best photos happen in the hallways. I stay with the group and keep it light enough to clear screening.
On the day
DC is close to me and easy to get to, so I'm in early. Embassies and federal buildings often want names days ahead, so send me the deadline.
Questions I get
Do you charge travel into DC?
No. The District is inside the DC metro, and it's an easy trip from home.
Can you get into federal buildings?
Usually, yes. The House and Senate office buildings open to visitors through security screening. Some rooms and agencies need a name on a list ahead of time, so ask your host to add mine.
