What does a launch need?
Two sets of pictures. The event: the people, the room, the reveal. And the product itself, clean and close, because that’s what the press and your website will reach for first.
When’s the reveal?
Tell me the exact minute, and where you’ll be standing. A reveal happens once, so I want to be in place with the room behind it before the cover comes off.
Can you photograph the product too?
Yes. The easiest way is before the doors open. Set the product up somewhere with good light, give me a little time with it, and you’ve got clean shots before anyone touches it.
What about guests trying it?
Those are the photos people share. Someone picking it up, trying it on, tasting it. Put the product where people can get their hands on it, and leave room around it.
Can we get photos out the same night?
Same-day highlights if you ask for them, so the posts and the press note go out while it’s news. The full gallery generally comes back in one to two weeks.
If you want video of the reveal too, I know good video and audio people, and we can talk through what makes sense.
I’m based in Loudoun and work across DC and Northern Virginia, from Tysons and Reston to Arlington and Alexandria. More is on Corporate events and Product and food.
