Team portraits in Gaithersburg and Bethesda

Do you come to offices in Maryland?

Yes. Montgomery County is a short drive for me, and a lot of teams along the I-270 corridor, from Bethesda and Rockville up to Gaithersburg and Clarksburg, would rather I come to them than send everyone to a studio.

I set up in your office, people come in one at a time, and I can usually photograph about thirty people an hour. Folks step away from their desk for a few minutes and get back to work.

Where in the office do the portraits happen?

Somewhere that looks like your company. Often that’s the lobby, with the logo and some good light, or a big window with an interesting space behind it, softly blurred. Send me a few phone photos and I’ll pick the spot.

What happens when it’s someone’s turn?

Most people don’t love having their picture taken at work, and that’s fine. I keep it quick and easy. The photos come up on an iPad as I take them, you swipe through and pick the one you like, and if none of them are right, we take another round. Often the first frame wins, because it catches a real smile before anyone has time to pose. If someone needs a little help relaxing, a bad dad joke usually does it.

What does everyone get?

One retouched portrait per person, the one they’ll use on LinkedIn, in their email signature and on your website. Everyone’s photographed in the same spot on the same day, so your team page finally looks like one team.

There’s more on how portraits for your team run at the office, what to wear and what corporate portraits cost. For events in the area, see Bethesda event photographer and event venues in Bethesda, Rockville and Gaithersburg.

What should I send you?

Just send me roughly how many people, which office, and a couple of dates that work, and I’ll get back to you.
