What if your event runs over?

What if the event runs over?

We decide it beforehand. Extra hours are an agreed rate that’s written into the contract, so if the day stretches, nobody is surprised. The hourly rate is in what event photography costs.

What does a full day cover?

When you book a full day, I treat it as a full day. If it runs a little long, I’m not going to nickel-and-dime you over it. I built the business that way because I got tired of seeing add-on charges. If something is going to cost money, you’ll know it before the day.

What about a shorter booking?

If you booked two hours and want me to stay two more, those are extra hours at the agreed rate. It’s worth booking the time you’ll actually need up front, because that saves you the headache of sorting it out during the event.

How do I avoid surprises?

Most of this is easy to handle with the planner or in the booking itself. Tell me what the run of show looks like, and tell me who can say “stay longer” on the day. If the end of your event is the part you most want covered, book for it, and we won’t have to guess.

What to send me

The date, the venue, the start and the real end time, and who I should check with if the schedule moves. Here’s how a full day runs, and what can go wrong and how I plan for it.
