Do you come to our office?
Yes. Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax are an easy trip for me. I bring everything to your office, people come in one at a time, and I can usually photograph about thirty people an hour. Nobody drives to a studio, and nobody’s away from their desk for more than a few minutes.
Where do the portraits happen?
Somewhere that looks like your company: the lobby with the logo, or a window with some depth behind it. A few phone photos of the space are all I need to pick the spot.
What’s it like for the person in front of the camera?
Quick. The photos come up on an iPad as I take them, they swipe through and pick the one they like, and if none of them are right, we take another round. The first frame is often the best one, because that’s when the real smile shows up. If it doesn’t, a bad dad joke usually helps.
What does everyone get?
One retouched portrait per person, matched across the whole team, so your website, LinkedIn and badges all look like one company. When new people join, I can come back and photograph them the same way.
