Event and venue photographer, Virginia wine country and the Shenandoah
Wine Country
A lot of my favorite work is out here. A harvest at sunrise in Linden, an estate in Bealeton, a restored bank in Winchester, a panel night in Front Royal.

Recent work here
- The Exchange on Loudoun, a restored bank in Winchester, and a musician's session in its rooms.
- Capstone Vineyards in Linden in July fog, and again at harvest.
- Morais Vineyards in Bealeton, the estate empty for planners.
- Front Royal Wines on Main Street, and an evening panel in Front Royal.
Venues
Wineries, estates and old buildings turned into event spaces sell on how they look. I photograph the rooms with nobody in them, then the things only that place has: a vault door, an iron stair, the view off the deck. More on venues and spaces.
Events
The events out here are winery dinners, benefit galas in barns, harvest parties and small retreats at the inns. I've also had jobs in Warrenton, Marshall and Strasburg. Rappahannock and Clarke I cover the same way, from Loudoun.
Questions I get
Do you charge travel out here?
Some of these counties sit inside the DC metro, and there I don't. Further out, travel is part of the quote, and I'll tell you up front.
Can you photograph a vineyard at harvest?
Yes. Give me the address and the morning they start picking. Sunrise is the best of it.
